More than a decade of design, baked in.
Websites, packaging, van livery, exhibition displays, social media and weekly promotional print for one of Scotland’s best-known family bakers and its sister bakeries.
Famous Scottish family brand McGhee’s Family Bakers proudly craft high-quality fresh baked goods loved by customers across Scotland and beyond. McGhee’s originally commissioned CO2 to design and build their bespoke website, and both companies have grown together since: a few brand updates, new product packaging, point-of-sale ideas and, more recently, a very active social media presence.
Our work has extended to sister bakeries too. We built websites from scratch for McGhee’s, Fergusons, Wallace and Fords, and designed packaging and labels for McGhee’s and Wallace.
Challenge, approach, result.
The challenge
In the bakery industry you need to be reactive every day. McGhee’s sell through convenience stores in villages, towns and cities across the country, so they need a steady flow of promotions and point-of-sale material, a brand that’s instantly recognisable on a shop shelf or a motorway, and websites and social channels that keep up.
Our approach
We act as McGhee’s in-house design team. We produce design for print every week for promotions and point-of-sale, and we look after the bigger pieces too: websites for McGhee’s and its sister bakeries, cake packaging and labels, a fleet of lorries where every side is a giant advert for a different product, fabric exhibition displays, pull-up banners and framed displays for their offices. Online we create social media content and campaigns for Facebook and Twitter.
The result
A brand that looks the same wherever you meet it, from a pancake on the side of a lorry to a cake box, a pull-up banner and a Facebook post. After working with numerous local agencies, McGhee’s found CO2 suits their needs best, and any promotional problem they meet, we solve together.
